Centerless Grinding uses/ applications
Centerless Grinding is used in a wide-range of applications and for many industries. Our customers and applications include:
medical and dental equipment manufactring
aerospace manufacturing
renewable energy manufacturing (wind power systems/turbines and solar panel components)
sporting equipment manufacturing
electronics manufacturing
military equipment manufacturing
musical instruments
automotive industry
The manuacturing industry needs centerless grinding to create parts (usually cylindrical) at smaller than current stock and/or precise sizes and finishes to optimize effectiveness of product in areas of efficiency and/or compactness.
Centerless Grind: Dowels, Pins, Cores, and Wire
These applications are typical in medical and dental equipment/instruments, aerospace parts, solar panels, and other electronic components.
The thinest parts can be for centerless grinding is .020"
The length can be shorter than 1" and as long as 16'

Centerless Grind: Shafts, Tools, Tubes, and Rods
Applications such as these are used in sporting, military, wind towers.
The thickest diameter for centerless grinding is 2.5"
The length can be shorter than 1" and as long as 16'
On Thin-Wall Tubes, for example, there are two diameters. The inside diameter known as ID Grinding and
the outside diameter known as OD Grinding.
*****We currently don't work on ID Grinding.
